Other than law enforcement, it will usually not cost you your job or license. A one or two game suspension would seem appropriate to me, if he's found guilty. Especially with "victimless" crimes, I have a problem with the presumption of innocence being cast aside in punishing kids who might ultimately be found not guilty. Quote

And he can also apply for a new program that allows 1st time offenders the opportunity to clear their name of DWI charges with the appropriate amount of probation, community service, etc. so long as he keeps his nose clean while under the probationary period. My wife specifically deals with this stuff in Galveston Co. OTOH, I don't think Charlie really gives two craps what the letter of the law states. See Montrell Meander and Kendall Sanders as examples. They both had cases that were dismissed, but never were reinstated by UT or the FB program. He holds these guys to a whole nother lever and I don't have a problem with it. This ain't bamer, aggy or LSU. If you want to act like a regard, go play for one of those schools. We are above that. Quote

I fully expect he's going to be let go for this, it's not a laughing matter and he needs to grow up. Most people that have drank alcohol have also driven when they probably shouldn't have. Charlie can use Perkins as an example to his team and others. Suspend him a game or 2, let him give speeches to the teams and other youth around town about the dangers of driving drunk.
