Al Jazeera America, which went on the air in 2013 -- and is partly funded by the ruling family of Qatar -- announced Wednesday it is shutting down at the end of April, citing the "economic landscape of the media environment."

I don't understand this.  When the enlightened chosen one was lecturing us on media bias, he stated that he got much of his news from this bastion of honesty and integrity

I'm sure the folks at MSNBC must be exhilarated.  Should allow them to move up one in the ratings

I wonder if both of the Al Jazeera followers will now start watching MSNBC. MSNBC's ratings could double overnight.
