Just saw where Tarkington is open. Did Coach Carpenter leave or what? They had some success the last couple years. Do they have and talent left or coming?

He took the OC job at Porter he did a great job in his time at Tarkington. We will see who is next.

As it looks like the Houston ISD/La Marque district is disappearing, the teams in 8-4A will probably return to Region III.  However, the teams in that district will remain the same with the exception of Coldspring leaving and Jasper probably taking their place.

I know of one applicant, OC from South Texas that IMO would do a great job.

I don't know about ties, but he was the OC in Livingston for a few years.

He was there in 2011-2012 (7-3) and 2012-2013 (6-4). Made the playoffs in 2012 as the OC.
