Drango1 Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 HJ was moved west to clevelands district. They didn't drop classifications. Quote

Pepper Brooks Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 HJ was Silsbee's only real threat in the district, Hate to see the rivalry come to an end. Terrible basketball district for the next 2 yrs exsoftballplayer 1 Quote
DXTR Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 The predictions for Silsbee's zero district losses just got easier. Hate to see this rivalry end. Pepper Brooks 1 Quote

whsalum Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Both the new basketball districts look weak now. I hate to see the rivalry end as well. Pepper Brooks 1 Quote

ST413 Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Truthfully not a good deal for my Tigers unless A district opponent steps up the next couple years and gives us that same level of competition! Quote
RunninRebels Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 If I didn't know any better, it almost appears that Hardin-Jefferson is running from Silsbee. That can't be, though, because they don't have anyone in a position of authority and the UIL would never do something like that. Oh well, I guess that rivalry is done. I don't see them agreeing to a game on their own. Quote
stevenash Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 The geography component would suggest that either HJ moves as it did or Silsbee would move to the Jasper district. Quote

I don't see them agreeing to a game on their own. It's a different day and age for HJ. If you look at their respective schedules, it's obvious neither Davis nor Sigler runs from a challenge. In fact, the exact opposite is true. If they can make it work, I don't know why they couldn't play. exsoftballplayer 1 Quote
MBaller#1 Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Well at least if silsbee wins district out right every year they will not see yates until the regional tournament plus yates and Wheatley will have to play each other as well regional tournament could be interesting uil reallytrying to make it difficult for the Tigers to try to win state maybe maybe not. There seems to be some mental block on last year. Silsbee had a chance to win a district title at home and could not do it. Lost to HJ and were Co-Champs. This is your friendly fact checking portion of the thread. exsoftballplayer 1 Quote
