Normally I would have a retort for a remark like that but I somewhat agree. No other season has a district championship been more meaningless than this year. Crosby could run away with the district and get what I like to call the "2000s".  PAM in bi-district, Manvel in the second round, Cedar Park in the third round only to have Temple waiting in the regional final. If Barbers Hill or Dayton miss the playoffs though, I think Crosby get another D2 regional title.

Yall D1? I have a feeling we will see KP first round.

Crosby will go D1 if Dayton and Barbers Hill make the playoffs.  Let's just say I don't see Crosby going D1.

Same here, I think its going to take at least one season under that new staffs' belt to get things really going over there at BH.

As of right now:

Crosby

KP

Dayton

Winner from NC vs Humble

Loser from NC vs Humble

BH

Porter

Splendora

Caney Creek

We will go D1 if two of the three schools out of BH, Dayton and Splendora make the playoffs. Humble and KP both getting in is Crosby's best shot to go D2. If Humble doesn't get in you're most likely correct that PAM would get KP in the first round assuming you beat both Central and Ned.

I think district 23 sweeps their first round games leaving a four team combination of Manvel, FB Elkins, FB Marshall and Texas City waiting on the bi-district champs from this coverage area.

I hope Manvel isnt D1, not sure I'd want to face those guys come playoff time.

I'm curious to see what Manvel has with the new high school opening. May not be as dominant as years past.

Silsbee will end up facing potentially whomever they lost, they play Shadow Creek this yr. I think Manvel will still be one of the most talented teams in region 3 regardless of classification. They may have an easier time with the drop from 6A to 5A other than PA Memorial come playoff time.

I belive Shadow Creek will only be 9th&10th grade this year football team

I believe Manvel still has over 2000 kids or are right at it even with Shadow Creek opening at 1800+. Elkins also has over 2000 kids so unless Galena Park makes the playoffs Manvel and Elkins are the D1 teams. I think they signed 13 D1's last year, 11 or 12 FBS kids alone. By 2017 Manvel will most likely be playing over the 5A limit again like George Ranch and Ridge Point were able to do the past couple of years.

The drop won't cause them to be any weaker comparable to the classification, after Crosby they're still playing North Shore and Pearland in non-district. So the 13 D1's they had to have that success on the 6A level will only need to be about 4 or 5 on the 5A level which they have covered easily. IMO they're still going to be the most talented 5A team in the state.

There's no way that G Park's making the playoffs, considering the fact that they went 2-18 over the last two seasons, and both of those two wins came against Houston Scarborough.

They've been in the district with us the last two years, I know they won't make the playoffs and so does everyone else on this board. Still doesn't change the fact that they have 2,068 kids and would be a D1 representative over FB Elkins if something odd happened in district play. Just like I know Splendora won't make the playoffs in 21-5A but I include them as someone who could push Crosby D1 simply because their enrollment says they can. If I said Manvel and Elkins would be the reps. for sure it would be a false statement at this point.

I thought the G Park QB looked pretty good last year. They just never seemed organized, fell behind early and were forced to do things they were not really that good at. They had a couple bigs on the O line, but were not disciplined in their blocking schemes.
