Dick Vitale Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 Westbrook has won it's appeal to move from District 12-6A to 22-6A, due to excessive travel requirements. Instead of traveling to play in Conroe, The Woodlands, Lufkin, and Montgomery, they will be in the same district with Deer Park, LaPorte, Pasadena, Dobie, Pasadena Memorial, South Houston, and Sam Rayburn.....Much better situation for the Bruins. Dick Vitale Posted February 29, 2016 Author Report Posted February 29, 2016 Truth is, my daughter, who plays volleyball as a sophomore this year at Wesbrook, was excited that they were not in the same district with The Woodlands, who reached the state championship game this year, on a team that features my (and her) cousin, who is also a 10th grader at TWHS! LOL I am wondering about volleyball. I know that they won and won't play that district but how does that affect scheduling. I am used to the volleyball team playing the same team as the football team at the same location. Quote
409HOOPS Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 Congrats to WB. My nephew plays football there and I didn't want to be traveling all over the area just to go see him play. Quote

Scheduling issues that would arise if West Brook moved kept them in that district. That is why I asked about volleyball. Football is along 105 Everything else is along I-10 and 146 Quote
