Tonight, the Big Sandy Wildcats take one step further in their Class 2A playoff journey as they take on the San Augustine Wolves in a Class 2A, Region III Quarterfinal.  The Wildcats, 34-2 on the season and champions of District 24-2A, reached this round with a 71-44 bi-district victory over Lufkin Pineywoods Academy followed by by a 101-52 area round win over Martinsville.  Meanwhile, the Wolves, 26-3 on the season and champions of District 23-2A, reached this round with a 63-36 bi-district win over West Hardin followed by a 63-57 win over Shelbyville.

The winner of this game will face the Grapeland/La Poynor winner.
