SportsJunkie32 Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Jacoby Young, Yates leading scorer is questionable for the game against Elkins. Young did not play Tuesday due to an ankle injury he sustained against Temple. Game time decision if he plays Quote
TxHoops Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 If Young doesn't play, it's a blow out. Quote
HasBeen36 Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Is this Young any kin to Joe Young who won a title at Yates and went to Oregon to play ball? Quote
BADSANTA Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Yes his younger brother. They look like twins almost HasBeen36 1 Quote
ST413 Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Don't know a lot about these two but what I saw of Elkins in that fourth quarter of the Central game showed they are vulnerable to a team that applies good pressure. If Young plays as Yates has enough depth to put pressure on Elkins throughout the game they have a good shot. Quote
SportsJunkie32 Posted March 3, 2016 Author Report Posted March 3, 2016 I like the match up, Elkins guards are good but they can crack under pressure. Yates young bench has matured sense the season opener against Cy Lakes and Fox. It's going to be 32 Minutes of Heat Quote

Elkins also put some pretty intense pressure on Central in that 3rd period, but then let up in the 4th for some reason. Quote
SportsJunkie32 Posted March 5, 2016 Author Report Posted March 5, 2016 End of 3rd qtr 63-46 Elkins Quote
409HOOPS Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 Yes I was told that Young did play but it he had a slight limp and had to be pulled out of the game a few times. My buddy told me that Elkins has the best group of guards he has seen this year. They can penetrate, shoot the 3 ball and play together well. I wanted to catch the first half of the Silsbee game and then drive to Katy. But I can't leave the Tigers! Quote
