Muenster 50 Dallardsville Big Sandy 43/Final

The Big Sandy Wildcats take one more step toward the Class 2A State Championship as they take on the Muenster Hornets in this state semifinal.  The Wildcats, 37-2 on the season and Region III Champions, began their playoff road with a 71-44 bi-district win over Lufkin Pineywoods followed by a 101-52 area round victory over Martinsville.  The Wildcats then followed a 72-40 regional quarterfinal win over San Augustine with a 73-41 regional semifinal win over Grapeland and 70-45 win over Tenaha to take the Region III title and earn their berth in the State Championship tournament.

Meanwhile, the Hornets, 33-3 on the season and Region II Champions, began their playoff road with a 87-65 win over Dallas Gateway in bi-district followed by a 69-44 win over Windthorst.  A 75-48 regional quarterfinal win over Petrolia, a 59-48 regional semi victory over Clarksville and a 59-41 regional final over Electra sent the Hornets to this state tournament.

The winner of this game will face the Canadian/Thorndale winner tomorrow at 1:30 pm for the 2A State Championahip.
