Bmt_4now Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Heard Houston Yates is dropping back down to 4A next year! Silsbee should have a early game against them next year! Imo Quote
DXTR Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 If the rumors of a couple of former Silsbee kids coming back to Silsbee next year are true, I would love to see this matchup. Silsbee could be better next year. Gonna be another fun season. Quote
ST413 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 The Tigers will be fine. Going to miss these seniors. Going to be tough to lose their quiet leader in Grubbs, nothing but pure hustle and determination in all parts of the game. And another team leader in Dontre playing hard and taking care of business. And Mr. 3 ball this year in Ricky, he worked hard on his game and it showed. Then Luke another that as pure hustle and determination. I wish it could have ended like in their dreams but couldn't be prouder. As far as next year, we will be probably just as deep and dangerous. Just keep working and improving and we should be back. Didn't know that the McCain boys and Jones are cousin! Interesting! Quote
MBaller#1 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Yes triple a , Dallas Madison ,and LA Marque ,are all moving to 3a and Houston sterling is moving to 5a so it looked like Wheatley, yates, hj, navasota and silsbee in region 3. Quote
Pepper Brooks Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Saw Yates play 4 games in Lufkin tourney. They were not nearly as strong as they have been in the past. I do not know who they are losing or what they have coming back, but I can tell you they would not have beat Silsbee. Quote
SportsJunkie32 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Yates will be losing 4 of there starters, but the bench and JV will be fine. Yates will continue to play a tough non district schedule, stay focus and work on team ball during the weak district schedule and then prepare for The Defending Region 3 Champs Silsbee Tigers. Quote
SportsJunkie32 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Please inform Coach Sigler that we (Yates Fans) will have his favorite seat ready for him this coming season during his scouting trips lol!!! Quote
MBaller#1 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Looks like silsbee will get a little height with the transfers coming in. Quote

How many are going back home? Everybody is thinking 2, but I heard maybe 3 guys that move to Bmt as youngsters maybe going back home to Silsbee! Quote
ST413 Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 I have seen a list that had 5 or six from some of the kids but I didn't know who they all r may be including some in our jr high. Quote
Who That Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I met the 8 grader yesterday that's going to be playing for Silsbee next year C. Martin young man got some size . Plays just like his daddy did he going to be something. Quote
BADSANTA Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 If all 3 come back it's going to be crazy in Silsbee. Quote
HeHateMe Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I thought you could not recruit in high school Quote
DeuceSixSuited Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 It's not recruiting. All three of them are from Silsbee and went to school in Silsbee. They moved to Beaumont schools but are coming home I believe Quote
Aces_Full Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Are they moving schools for athletic purposes? Quote

Mamba Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 who transfers for education these days Quote
HeHateMe Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Do they have to transfer back before the school year is up in order to play varsity sports next year? Id be very cautious because one of Silsbee's main rival HJ has a lot of ties with Texas UIL Quote
HeHateMe Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Lancaster, Plano West and Bridgeport all relied on transfers to win state titles last year. In fact Plano West had 4 players off the same AAU team Texas Titans all living in the same house together. Quote
