Silsbee greatest team ever

Is this years Silsbee team the greatest ever...

Is D. McClain on his way to being the greatest player ever to come out of Silsbee...

This team is very talented and I think this is the deepest team. Best I'm not sure. Remember districts change over the years and you can always judge by who got the deepest in the playoffs. 1982/83, 1994/95, and 1996/97 were very good. Devon is on his way to being great but Silsbee has had some beast!! Daryl MacArthur  (McDonald's all american), Damien Bush, Thad Holden, Lewis Arline, and Chris Miller were fantastic players. Devon is definitely on his way as long as he keeps playing. I'd like to see him develop a nice mid range jumper and with finishing more at the rim.

You can add more to this list, Silsbee has always had talent come through on the hard wood! Chris pee wee Martin is one of the best players ever!  Donyell Allen, Al  Henry, Willie jones! I would have to say Daryl MacArthur and peewee Martin best ever!

MacArthur was 1985/86. Don't know if he played in the game but was nominated as a McDonald's All American. He was a USA Today 2nd team all American as well.

Andy Gardner, David Green, and Lloyd MacArthur were also great players for Silsbee.

Back in the day Region 3 was always Silsbee and PA Lincoln or Silsbee, Hebert, and PA Lincoln.

We throw great around way to much these days. They were very deep and very good.

Mike J is prob the most dynamic player I have watched in years, can come out of nowhere and just dominate. Other times he is invisible, hard to put into words but with (SO) K. Barnes, (FR) D. McCain, (FR) J. Adams, just add water.  Formidable against any team once this year's experience sinks in.

add depth with existing players or new blood with freshman class. Scary again.

It will be very interesting to see how is select for the all state team for Silsbee. My vote would be Trey Grubbs and Devon McCain.

I'm going with Mike J but wouldn't be suprised if K.B. gets some honors this year.  Been going of since playoffs began and went to another level for him once regionals began.

Mike may be the choice just based on being named last year and being known. Really kind of hard to put him there just because he missed so much. To me the one that deserves it if you can pick one is Grubbs. Just all around everything.

Silsbee could have 3 all state players honestly. I think they have had a different leading scorer in all playoff games. I know Maze, Adams, Devon, Harris, and Grubbs have all lead a game as the high point man.

For the season and consistency, the best two players were Grubbs and D McCain, period.  However, due to time missed for grades, you would have to put the freshman at the top of the list.

This is the best Silsbee team I have seen since the days or Holden and Arline.

However, I would not classify them as great.  Great teams have won titles and set records.

They are a extremely good team though.

Put that 1994, 95 team in that class! That team played against NBA player Steve Jackson had a lot more  competition back then! That team also beat that bumble bee team and went down to the wire to make it to state,it went into over time the bees won state that year! More people the  Montagne has ever seen! IMO

I think this year's team is one of the best. Really gonna miss watching Grubbs, Dontre, and Lil Rick. 31-6 and state runner is nothing to shake your head at. A town of 7000 playing vs a city of 2 million. Lincoln, Carter, and Skyline should all be 5A.
