Peppermint Patty Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 Tonight marks the final match for Baytown Sterling's boys head soccer coach Jim Richter. He will be retiring after 29 years in education and coaching at the end of this school year. RSS was eliminated from playoff contention after an 8-3 loss to Channelview on Tuesday. Jim is the only soccer coach in Sterling's history. He has over 200 wins, 3 Coach of the Year awards, 3 District Championships, over 10 Playoff appearances, and numerous all district players. Jim has been a mentor and my breakfast buddy for the past 10 years. I am going to miss our morning chats about his beloved Longhorns, politics, and other worldly issues. Good luck tonight, coach.
