SetxSportsExpert Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 Who will walk away with the district title? Quote
Hagar Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 Evadale. The Big Sandy players have to dribble a baseball when they run the bases. Quote
HB2704 Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 I believe only four do, and they'll be "dunking" on evadale Hagar 1 Quote
Chester86 Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 Evadale has a lot of respect for the Wildcats. Big Sandy is state ranked in both polls, and stacked with seniors. They have great coaching, and the returning district MVP. The boys know what they are up against, and know the hill is steep. Evadale is just a small school and trying to do their best through the season. It's a long season, and the boys are trying to take it one game at a time. BS Wildcats 1 Quote
Hagar Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Evadale has ended up winning the two matchups. Both were hard fought and close, as you would expect from this great rivalry. Congratulations to Evadale, and Good Luck to both the Rebels and the Wildcats in the Playoffs. Chester86 1 Quote
Chester86 Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 As a parent those games were beyond stressful. A lot of teams talk trash, and post stupid stuff. Big Sandy does not, and I appreciate that. Our boys respect Big Sandy, and both games were tough. Proud of both squads, and I wish Big Sandy nothing but the best. Well, that is unless we end up meeting them in the regional finals. Hagar 1 Quote
STYMIE Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 I wasn't expecting a sweep. Congrats to Coach Williams and the Rebels Quote
MossHill Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 evadale exceeding expectations this year or was this expected? I know BS was supposed to be pretty salty this year Quote

I know BS was supposed to be pretty salty this year I really felt we could have a special season. We have deep pitching, and great coaching. That leaves fielding and hitting. Knew if we could have some of the younger players step up we could do well. Now the real season starts though, and is when the whole team needs to be clicking. What's the bar on a successful season? I think a lot of teams are happy to make the playoffs; but our core group will be disappointed if we don't make a deep run, with Round Rock as the goal. Quote
acm126 Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Wow!! Go Rebels ! Love our competitive team no matter what! Quote
