Coach Jacks out at Lumberton

I'm hearing that Coach Jacks is out at Lumberton after 3 years.

Why not ask the parents why he resigned?   They pretty much run the schools.

I'm sure it's because his daughter just finished her senior year. Heard after both his girls were done playing hs ball he would resign from LHS.

Well, I guess you should Jacks, or parents of the girls why.  I could be wrong, but heard they were pretty unhappy and got done what they needed to get done.

I dont think it has anything to do with his daughter. She didn't even attend Lumberton her Junior year. I could be wrong.

Friend from Ltown thought it was the parents, but could be anything.  If it is the parents, their chances of getting someone better is pretty slim.  Not exactly sure who they'll get to avg winning 29 games a season.

Just talked to my friend again from Ltown.  He's an old Raider and he's convinced it was the parents.   I know he's upset, as I'm sure a lot of Raiders are.  Even though I'm not from Lumberton, I hate to see things like this happen anywhere.

So, I see a lot of people talking about how good his record has been, do you think his record would be that good if he was at Nederland, PNG or even had stayed at Vidor the last three years?

Vidor possibly, the other 2 no way. Bob Knight couldn't have took those teams to the playoffs. Lumberton doesn't have the record they do without him coaching the team I guarantee that.

I just looked it was posted Feb 26 for the Nederland Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach.

I assume he meant it was posted on Nederland ISD's site on Feb 26.

Nederland - Nobles PNG/BC, BradleyBC/OF, DuncanBC and Jacks Ltown.

Jacks on experience, Bradley on potential and Duncan on professionalism and experience.  Nobles- well whatever

I guess it would help if I knew who these people were.  I know Jacks was Lumberton.  I'm guessing Nobles was the Nederland coach and is going to either PNG or BC?  That's where you lose me.  And I'm not sure who Bradley and Duncan are and where they are leaving and going to.

Also, Lumberton would have had a winning record the last few years, no matter who was there. They were talented and have plenty of talent coming up.

Rob Nobles has a very good basketball mind.  I would put him up Xs and Os with any of the candidates.  Good list though.  Nederland should end up with a good one.

Jack's daughter is a Senior. She  and her sister both played for Lumberton for the past few years. His wife lives in Orange area so making a move would be easy.  Also, his stars are gone after this year and its going to be a hard year next year.  Get out while your on top.
