Coach Jacks out at Lumberton

Was was Lumberton's record?  I know they were state ranked for a while this year.

His stars are gone after this year? Lumberton will compete for district championship again this year. They are losing Hannah Holt and his daughter to graduation this year. Alex Sellers (district Offensive player of the year) will be a senior next year, Megan Wilkinson (1st team All district) and Brianna Jones will be Jr's and then they will have 5 sophomores that were on Varsity as freshman this year. 

Lumberton was 29-4 this year

Yes.  Jacks has had the talent at both Vidor and Lumberton to do damage.  Plus he is a good coach and hard worker.  I do believe Nobles is just as hard a worker, and has just as good of a basketball background and mind.  They prob believe in differing styles of play, so kinda depends on what you want and who you believe is the best fit.

Has Lumberton started the search for a replacement yet?   If so, does anyone know who all has applied?

Having seen the Lady Raiders this year, I'd think they'll be a force once again.  Bunch of young, good, ball players.

I'm not sure I understand this comment.  Is Jacks leaving something that he brought with him?  Or leaving a part of himself?  What is he leaving that Lumberton will be working with?

Not sure but i heard while back coach Toots at HF is leaving or might be gone already. Him & Harris was very close. So recent  situation could played part in wanting to leave

Only reason I ask about HF having an opening is because Jacks has been telling folks that's where he is headed for a few weeks now.  Just found it interesting, especially given the fact that HF "currently" is not without a Girls BB coach.  Things that make you go Hmmm.

Jacks is HF bound  may have to get the new HC to wiggle assignments around but he will be there.  Toots may have been caught up in the AD change.  I  believe he coaches the golf team too.  My interaction with him has been positive.

Coach jacks will be missed...he does live in bridge city at this time...an he might be looking in the Dallas/fort worth  area.....since his step daughter is Alexis Henry whom is attending UTA !!

Coach Toot is also the girls athletic program coordinator at HF. He planned on leaving this year after his son graduated. He already told his basketball team he was leaving. He has a house over 2 hours away and his wife lives there. He lives in an RV park and did not plan on staying here long term. He does have a good program going and the next coach will inherit some good returning starters and JV players who have been successful. 8th also won district this year

I was told that Coach Bradley was in final 2 of Nederland job but hiring would be at a later date. Not sure about Jacks was told he never applied for Nederland job.
