VP93.... Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Played in a project graduation volleyball game after the coach told them not to on a game day!! Quote
AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 They made a choice to play in a volleyball game for seniors at school today. Coach told them not to play cuz he didn't want them to get hurt and hurt the baseball team. He's the coach and it is his rules. Just like the real world. Have to do what the boss says or suffer the consequences. N8_44, All Sports Fan, rounder17 and 2 others 5 Quote
RaiderGirl2010 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Wow! Maybe next time they will listen to what coach tells them Quote

Eni Apt Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Try to teach kids about commitment and accountability and some parents and grandparents can't handle it. Support the coaches decisions whether you agree with it or not. They are just doing what should have been taught at a younger age. Great examples of a few things were shown tonight. What a good coach should do, and what grown adults should not. Stay classy L-Town, stay classy. kmstark5, rounder17, VP93.... and 3 others 6 Quote
Mickey Mantle Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Tip of the cap to Coach Davis. Good to see coaches do what is right, it's a team game, if you want to be an individual and be selfish go play poker. Great job Coach. goldenlady, bulldog16, AthleticSupporter - Jock and 3 others 6 Quote
spoonbill Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 This was a very opportune time to teach this "life lesson" as everyone calls this. Coach knows he MUST win at least one of these three games over five days to stay viable in district. His district caliber pitching is very limited. He now has his best pitching for the next two games that are much more winnable. GCM has shown itself to be the cream of the district crop so far this year and it's hardly a surprise. Risking injury in a project graduation volleyball game sounds pretty absurd to me but if the coach told them not to do it, that should be the end of it. Here's to a big W today for the Raiders!
