KFDM COOP Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 LU's women's coach Leonard Drake has resigned at Lamar according to reports from the KFDM Sports Dept. Post info here.
Lazeek Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Leonard is a great guy!!!!!!! Unfortunately he did not do a very good job!!!!
BLUEDOVE3 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 David McKey, Liz McQuitter, DeAnn Craft, Len Drake, etc, etc, etc. The coaches are stacking up. What will it take to get some players at Lamar University? LU is long overdue. Has the Southland Conference improved that much over the years?

tvc184 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 It seems strange that he resigned before the end of the season.
Cat22 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I heard on the radio this morning that it was because of health reasons. If this is the case I hope he is ok. Best wishes to him and his family.
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 That's what the release from Lamar says. He has been suffering from chest pains and he's family was concerned.
KFDM COOP Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 I winder if that is the real reason?? How about Billy?
Cat22 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Yeah I'm starting to hear conflicting stories also!
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Now I'm not saying I believe that. It's a "little" unusual when the assistant coach is gone the same day the head coach resigns for health reasons.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 C'mon guys! If you were the coach, at least you would have confided in your players if you were leaving for health reasons and at such a quick notice.

Cat22 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Got his feelings hurt reading SETXsports.........He now knows what everyone else on here knows.........ya'll want Coach A from BC to have his job!Do you mean Coach A from OF?
CraigS Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Do you mean Coach A from OF?yes my bad
Cat22 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I would hate to see her leave OF, but I think she would do a good job at Lamar. First thing, I think she would recruit more local talent, which we have alot of in this area.
TXBaseball Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Ancelot has applied for the job!Go for it Sondra. I think you're deserving!
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Well, well, well. I guess it was a good idea to shoot extra video of in the past couple of weeks, lol.
