Martin pitched a complete game giving up only 4 hits with 8 KO's and 0 earned runs.  We have a great bunch of kids this year with a couple of freshman that are really playing good.  We've got great Sr leadership this year along with a new Head Coach, so watch out for those Pirates!  Our only drawback.....after 4 years we STILL DON'T HAVE A NEW FIELD TO PLAY ON!!!!  So if you are coming to D'ville to play.....head to the OLD field!

Evadale must be okay to hang with a 2A like that.  Is Deweyville any good?  Sounds like both teams pitched pretty good.

Evadale has a very good lefty. NICE curve ball. kepp the batters off balance all night. They should do quite well in district. As for Deweyville they are coming together nicely!

ya they pitched him 6 innings  .. doesnt throw hard but is pretty accurate and throws fball and curve..  umpire was kinda changing his stirkezone alot during the game which threw off the batters and pitchers though..

Way to go Pirates!You guys are looking good.

Just remember it takes the WHOLE Team to win. No one can do it by themself. The pitcher's job is to put it in the strike zone and it's the other 8 players job to catch and field the ball. I think the Pirates have the talent to be successfull, as long as they play like a team. Encourage each other, when mistakes are made. If you make the mistake, shake it off and go on. Best of luck to a great group of guys on and off the field.
