Yes, but can't Area times be used for Wild Card spots if the are FAT?

dayton
The top 2 from each region advance to the state meet, followed by the fastest 3rd place time out of the 4 regions taking the wildcard spot. PlayActionPass
PlayActionPass
Thank you, I am far from a track guru. I appreciate the information. 6 minutes ago, dayton said: The top 2 from each region advance to the state meet, followed by the fastest 3rd place time out of the 4 regions taking the wildcard spot. dayton

dayton
I'm gonna go with mid 10.6s or so. He'll have plenty of competition at regionals. Hope he makes a return trip to the state meet! He ran 10.71 at the state meet last year.

Plain and simple... a 10.34 hand time isn't a 10.34. Just like all the hand timed 4.3 40yd dashes in HS football aren't legit either. Folks that care about track and accurate results are gonna call out results that aren't legit every single time. Craig Williams is probably the fastest 100m sprinter in the SETX coverage area. He ran a 10.34 FAT 100m, 4.36 electronic 40yd. If those were hand times he would have probably gone 10-flat in the 100m and about 4.25 in the 40yd. Arnold is a burner for sure, but like you said, it will all be handled at regionals. AthleticSupporter - Jock and dayton

Bmt_4now
The sophomore from Silsbee is burning up the track also. Best time I think is a 10.58! Don't know if it was FAT or hand....
