Unfortunately, WOS knew that '85 Yates team all too well. If we would have beat them, we would have probably won the 5A SC that year.

That was the first year of no pass no play.I remember thinking after Yates came on the field with an army of players....no way all those kids passed.lol

I was at that game in the Astrodome. We came closer to beating them than the score shows. Was tied 6-6 late in the 4th quarter with WOS leading in penetrations but they wore us down. That was our last year in 5A so we were small comparatively.

Isnt Rod on here? Im sure he could give us a little more insight on the game. He was the QB after all. lol I was there watching my Sister dance but was also 5 yrs old.
