Silsbee 3 Navasota 1/Gm 3-Final/Silsbee wins series 2-1

Today is do or die for the Silsbee Tigers as they take on the Navasota Rattlers in the third and deciding game of this Class 4A area round series!

The Rattlers took a 1-0 series lead with a 1-0 win on Thursday, but the Tigers tied the series 1-1 last night with a 5-3 win of their own.

The winner of this game will face the winner of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville/Caldwell series.  LC-M took a 1-0 last night in that series with a 9-4 win last night.

Yes, Mike and Tim are going to close down for now.  If things clear up and the rain leaves the area, they may be able to continue.  Stay tuned as we all wait and see on that.

Just got off of the phone with Mike and the status is this:

They are still in a weather delay at Humble H.S..  They plan on waiting until 5:30 to see if the weather clears there.  If not, they will be moving to another venue, TBD.  They have been on the phone with other sites and probably have them lined up. However, those sites have not been disclosed

Yes, UIL rules give them the option of finishing on Monday
