PhatMack19 Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 GS up big in Game 1. This may be a short series. Cleveland is in trouble if they hold Curry and Thompson to 14 points combined and lose by double digits. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 Game was over at halftime. Cavs gotta do something different defensively. Quote

The Warriors bench were not shooting any differently than all season. The only players who is shooting above average is Barnes and he found his touch towards the last ten games of the season. Steph and Klay will wake up and unless Cleveland slows the game it will be over in 5 this year. Quote

baddog Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 I watched some of this series and believe me, the best basketball has already been played. The 80s Lakers and Celtics matchups were better with better players down the roster. They could hang with these guys. Ok, let me hear it. Lol UTfanatic and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

king Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Idk why a lot of oldies have to cut down today's basketball like these guys are scrubs. Kyrie Irving was my finals MVP. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Golden State looked like half these high school teams now-shooting 3's that should never have been attempted. Rebounding and defense wins championships. Cleveland had more players willing to battle under the basket for both. As a series, not that great. Too many double digit wins. As a Game 7, one of the best. JR Smith at the podium was what it's all about. I do not follow the NBA too much, but hopefully he meant what he said. (His dad was a big dude. I would have toed the line for him.) Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
king Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 And all these bandwagon fans who never knew who curry was until last year. Saying he is better then Lebron. Pleasee....lebron is the best player in the game! Quote
baddog Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 I never said these guys were scrubs. I just said that I have seen a lot better basketball. Better half court sets, much better low post games, running the floor, much better coaching.....it may have been a different era, but the game was played better. You used to play NOT to foul, now you have fouls to give. That was already coming into play back then and I hated it. You didn't foul because it was a 1-1 unless you were shooting. That made games too long so they went to out of bounds until you built up enough fouls. Bird didn't like the 3 point shot and neither do I. It allows teams to win when they should have lost, and Bird won the 3 point contest almost every year, so it sure wasn't because it was too difficult. Anyone who has not seen Laker/Celtic championship games needs to watch. Watch the Celtics/Rockets series with Moses Malone. Magic Johnson and Larry Bird saved the NBA! I watched Curry play when he was with Davidson. I told my wife when I first saw him play that he would be an NBA star. As for Irving, I love his Uncle Drew character. That's some funny stuff. My biggest problem with today's players in any sport is the crybaby attitude and the "me" complex. These are team sports. TxHoops 1 Quote
