Best as I can understand (keeping in mind I'm no rocket scientist lol), it wasn't near earths atmosphere, which would make it light up, nor was there any sun to shine on it.   My best guess, it's some type of satellite making a "burn to correct orbit".   I don't think any alien craft with the technology to travel the stars, would have any rocket power like we use.  But I'd like to know what it is.  Probably Top Secret military stuff and we'll never know.
