PhatMack19 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Report Posted June 16, 2016 The course is going to be brutal from what's being reported. It's almost not fun to watch when the golfers can't even make shots. Look for over par to win #8 is playing as a 288 yard par 3 #12 is a 684 yard Par 5 which is the longest in major history. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Report Posted June 16, 2016 Early leader is Andrew Landry from Port Neches, Texas Andrew is -2 through 8 Quote

PhatMack19 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Report Posted June 16, 2016 Landry bogied #7 & #8 to drop to -3. He still has a 1 shot lead when play was rained out for the day on his last hole of the day. He started his round on hole #10. He has a birdie put on 9 if the weather would ever let up. Quote

PhatMack19 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Posted June 17, 2016 Landry made his birdie putt on his last hole to shoot a 4 under 66. He currently leads by 1 Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Posted June 17, 2016 I'm listening on the radio. I thought this was pretty great Golf announcer talking about a downhill putt. "It's so fast, I don't know how he can possibly control this. It's like trying to control 2 yr old quadruplets with a birthday cake" Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Posted June 17, 2016 Dustin Johnson has hit 25 greens in a row. Wow He's now tied with Landry for the lead at -4. Landry won't start his 2nd round until Saturday morning. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Landry has hit a rough spot Bogey, bogey, double to drop to even par. Quote

They have #12 playing 617 today. Different tee box? The greens so big they can move the hole placement for that yardage? Lol Quote

Landry finished strong with birdies on 13, 17, & 18. He shot 71 this morning and is now -3 on the tournament. He's right in the mix going into the final 2 rounds. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Landry is in 2nd and will be in the final group with Dustin Johnson. Mickelson, McIlroy, Els, & Fowler all missed the cut Quote
baddog Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 There are no easy shots on this course. The greens are so slippery, they might as well play on concrete. Unbelievable how much the yardage changes from tee box to hole placement. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Landry birdies and is back atop the leaderboard at -4 He's pretty steady out there. Hitting fairways and making pars is how you win this tourney. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 19, 2016 Author Report Posted June 19, 2016 They finished up early this morning. Lowry with the round of his life. Quote
