My prediction on DCTF's pre-season top 10:

1. Cedar Park

2. Manvel

3. Aledo

4. Temple

5. Lone Star

6. Denton Ryan

7. Crosby

8. Lancaster

9. Foster

10. Angleton

A lot of the 5A powerhouses have either moved back up or outgrown 5A all together. Bad part is that the majority of 5A's strength resides in region 3 this year.

I've gotten burned ordering online before. Pre-ordered weeks in advance and then had to wait weeks after they hit the shelves before mine came in.

I've always said the day DCTF hits the shelves is the unofficial official start to Texas football season. I just think over the years they've tried to incorporate too much data into the Summer edition. While DCTF will always be the bell cow, the real Texas high school football magazine is the one The Old Coach puts out which should hit shelves not long after Dave's does.

If goes like last year DCTF and FNF mags will be at Barnes&Noble before they ever make it to Walmart/CVS/Walgreens.

Think Region I will sweep. Aledo has almost been handed D2 and Ryan moving down but is loaded with returning starters.

Saw lady stocking magazines at wal-mart tonight and I thought jackpot. She said those magazines came in last Thursday and new shipment will be in this Thursday. What the heck is up with DCTF this year.

I'm working at some of the walmart's in the Baytown and Houston areaand haven't seen them yet but when I do I will holla jackpot, lady said they were starting to put some out around the houston area she said everyone is waiting on those books.
