Sorry to correct you sn, but this is way past irony.  Things like this are so far beyond the America I lived in the first 60 years of my life, I can't comprehend it. 

I've always been fascinated by the Israelites getting set free from bondage by God, and shortly afterwards, making them a Golden Calf to worship.  In my mind, no way.   Yet here we are, 240 years after winning our freedom from England, turning our backs on the greatest nation the world has ever seen.   Just a matter of changing our motto to, In Democrats We Trust, for that's our nations new God.
