Well PNG does a dance so it won't rain, and PA are Titans so they run with Greek Gods, then there is Nederland just getting rained on at bulldog stadium.... Hagar and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

They collect a lot of water during heavy rain. Watched Evadale scrimmage a 3A school last year. Nice stadium, but the chalked yard lines looked like a two lane FM road they were so crooked AshlyHasBeen 1 Quote

thetragichippy Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 Question, I heard putting wood chips as a first layer under the turf will decrease the heat on the field by 50%. I heard this was not done on Lumberton's field. The same person told me they measured the temp on the field at 130 degrees. Is there any truth to this? Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

The Goat Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 That 130° sounds about right. Our grounds crew normally waters our tirf a few hours before kickoff to try and cool it. Quote

BMTSoulja1 Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 ...so Nederland does what LC-M does... Water the field before a fast opponent comes in the building... So now, it's this and the secret spring practice and game... NDNation, navydawg31 and Mr. Buddy Garrity 3 Quote

Back in 99 SFA had a scrimmage there, lets just say it wasn't rain that caused the slips and splashes that evening cause it was cloudy, dry and hot. We were wondering wth was going on with both teams. Quote
RaiderGirl2010 Posted August 10, 2016 Author Report Posted August 10, 2016 Just got word from a player they are practicing on the turf right now. Only thing left for it to be completely done is field goals and track Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
