I remember the first padded practice of STJFL, it was right before I left for college. He was not  allowed to hit his teammates because after two collisions, there were two kids crying on the ground. I remember  the coaches saying "Dang son, nice hit but don't kill your teammates", with a huge grin. I loved it because it pissed off all the parents who had "Where the hell did that kid come from?", all over their faces.  Roschon wasn't always a QB. That was a process and still is being developed.  As a child and before he moved to the STJFL, he was a running back and safety in the pop Warner league for the Port Arthur Cowboys. At home, he is never inside. Always practicing, working out, throwing or whatever. When he does make it inside he is watching football. The kid breathes it. I hope he breaks out in the next couple of years so he can realize that Longhorn dream of his.

Why, so he can sit the bench behind the coach's son. He can shine at PNG.

You do know the coach's son is a senior right? There's two more good ones (QBs) behind him though, I dont think Png would have to worry about their QB leaving for Memorial. :)

Lets hope his passing game is ready.  I want nothing more than a true test of Silsbee's Passing Defense.

Could not get off the field last year on third & 4th Down (Carthage).  Need stops on those long conversions.

If Silsbee wins it would be their first over PNG since 1994.

In bold: what happened in that game?

The loss in 2012 was a bad loss for Silsbee. Had no business losing that game. Silsbee stunk it up very badly that night. I believe 6 turnovers. Silsbee reeled off 8 straight wins following that opening loss before losing to WO-S 26-13 in district final game.

Tigers went 3 rounds deep in playoffs that year, finishing 10-3. (losses to PN-G, WO-S and Carthage)
