It's tough not to get a little defensive about these things because there's so much work that goes into it.  DCTF does a great job, they have a luxury FNF doesn't in that they have 2 full time staffer

PAM will have the size and athletic advantage throughout the district... If anyone on this board can't pull the rose colored glasses off and see that....well.... You might want to take up basket weaving....PEACE.......

Didn't you pick Ozen to make the playoffs last year? Glad you're back stattrax.

It doesn't even matter Cal. Last SETX team Crosby lost to was Nederland in 2012 and it will be more of the same this year. Everybody has something to say until they get hit in the mouth, then the conversation switches to "Well, they didn't blow us out" or "We played 'em tough". Like Red Dawn said, "We just play them when they show up." . . . . and stack up W's

Please don't. Other than Vidor there's no group of fans I love to rib more than PNG. The more you troll me the more I'll be able to respond and not have it seen as going out of my way to talk down on a squad. It will be especially fun this year because I know PNG has no chance to do anything significant outside of beating 4A Silsbee or finishing in 4th place and getting back-stroked by Crosby in bi-district. Keep the faith though Stat, we lose in the second round and I still do.

Look normally I would be on your side and though it hurts to root for PNG, Roschon and those boys will be ready this year. That kid has been fire since his first flag game. Scored a TD the first time he touched the ball. I'll believe in my brother before I believe in Memorial because though they boast impressive talent every year, people in Port Arthur know they haven't been a serious contender since Jamaal Charles, and before that with Danny Gorer and the last Lincoln high school team.

2011 did happen, but I get what you're saying. Titans have something to prove this year.

They also have the Lions picked next to last in 22-5A.

I guess 10-4A DI is a tougher district. ;)

DCTF has their share of miscues as well.

      naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.   "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"  and then crying on every little touch of someone.    lets ball out today ktz!

      Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McNeese this Friday night at 6pm.

      I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
