Dayton

Nice to see a ton of kids playing this year. Dayton will suit up over 30 seniors and probably close to 50 kids on varsity. I look for Dayton to be a much more physical run before pass team on offense. If the defense plays up to par I think Dayton will be a tough out for anyone. I know I'm ready to watch some high school football and in particular some Broncos.

UH plays Oklahoma at NRG on 9/3. Would love to watch some high school football there that weekend but not sure how that would even workout.

Nederland Superintendent pulled the plug on NRG, saying it would cost their district too much for transportation.  So the Broncos and Bulldogs will be in the house of the Dog on Friday night.

To bad for the kids it would have been an awesome experience for them. Myself I like the atmosphere at Nederland better anyway. Nothing like a Friday night game in a small town.

I hope they spray for mosquitoes this year! Last time there, the Broncos won the game but I lost the battle with the mosquitoes. No Zika!

Smoke from the pits/tailgating around the stadium neighborhoods drives mosquitos to the lights/meat@the stadium.

Yes they do share,been invited=me/BG & we were treated w/sausage wrap & beverage & a good time.Met some fans on a more personal level.I was a bit jealous when told the Booster Club purchases for it's purpose,when @Dayt we couldn't raise 1/10th of the amt Ned Boosters paid out for ath equip.Kudos to every hard working Booster Club in Setx coverage area,people that give back their communities.

This year will be bitter sweet. Can't wait to watch some Bronco football but man time has flown and I can't believe the oldest will be playing his last year of football. I'm going to enjoy every game from the first scrimmage to the last game and hope he and his friends take it all in and have a great injury free season.

So glad Dayton picked up Clear Springs to scrimmage. They will have the best QB Dayton will see this year by far and should really help Dayton get prepared for the upcoming season. The kids seem to really be buying in and I attribute that to the coaching staff. Participation level seems to be at an all time high and there is nothing I would rather see than the first district championship for the Bronx since 2010.

Not a knock on their QB. Fact is he is not being recruited as a QB and this kid is a Memphis commit as a dual threat QB. BG trying to get me in trouble. Lol

This time got a McBride(William) on the other side.Clear Spgs Qb pass=2,166 23 td 6 ints & 428 rush 12 tds(serious wheels).Chargers have 260 kids tot in football.On flip side they were last in defense 24-6a allow 384 ypg,rushing defense=224 ypg 2015,but lots of ints by db's.Way better scrimm opponent than Milby smh,Chargers 2015 area finalist.Looking forward to seeing how much differance a yr makes w/alot more sr leadership/depth@Dhs

Gonna be a good season for Bronco fans, we have leadership now that's respected. There's not a another coach out there that works the team anymore than Nations does. When the players have respect for their coaches like I'm seeing and hearing the coaches can get anything out of them. It's an exciting time in bronco land and the years to come. GO BRONCOS !!!!!!

Who is  the tall kid on jv for Dayton.  I got a chance to see some of the scrimmage.  Was impressed by his ability to get to the ball
