7 on 7 CAN be a useful tool.  I know that Dontre Thomas benefited from 7 on 7 because if you look at his progression from his junior year (where he was taken out in passing situations) to last year, you could say he and others benefited from that.

I think it can be useful especially for the qb.  Helping get timing and vision down as well as helping improve their throwing ability.  Is it necessarily a showing of how a team will do in the fall,....  no.  Too many added parts in the fall...pads make throwing tougher, pass rushers, receivers getting hit or concerned with it.....etc.. You won't find many teams in our area with the talent that my Tigers have at the skill positions but that still doesn't mean much until you put it all together.  I expect good things this fall and this 7 on 7 was just the start.  Let's go Tigers!!
