Bob Hope School will be joining UIL for soccer this year, playing up into 4A as part of District 20. Our district consists of Bob Hope School, Little Cypress Mauriceville, Bridge City, East Chambers, and Hamshire Fannett.  Soccer has always been a very strong sport for us, so we are hoping to make a splash. We will have both varsity and junior varsity teams, so that will help us build. Our boys will be squaring off with the state champion Palestine Wildcats on February 10th and our girls will be facing state runner up Jasper on January 27th.

In addition to our first year of UIL, we have also hired a new soccer coach, John Morgan. Coach Morgan comes to us from Mississippi, where he was a former head soccer coach. He also serves our country as a member of the National Guard.  Port Arthur News ran a great story on him recently:
