I am often criticized for the frequency in which I refer to free stuff.  Possibly there is some credibility to my constant referral?

Free stuff has been happening for a long time. Blacks aren't the only ones getting it, Obama didn't start it and poor folks aren't the only recipients. Look at congress for example, they refuse to even vote no on a candidate, if I refuse to do something on my job, Im history.

Never said that free stuff is something new.  However, the EXTENT of free stuff is my concern.  I also NEVER SAID that blacks are the only ones getting free stuff.  I am just amazed/saddened by how so many TRULY believe that free stuff is actually free and have no earthly idea of the long term consequences of too much free stuff.  Greece and Venezuela( street rioting and inflation are beyond control) have gone overboard on free stuff and are paying a very stiff price for that.   Furthermore, the "compassion" that many like to associate with free stuff ultimately is precisely the opposite of compassion.  Those who have lost their "lifetime guaranteed" pension plans likely understand very well now ( even though it is too late) that free stuff is not the answer.

No one said blacks are the only ones getting free stuff.  This is about turning our nation into Socialism/Communism.  And it's not just able bodied people getting welfare and food stamps (getting the corn).   Many, who get things they've earned, and deserve, via the Govt.. Social Security (myself), retired/disabled Vets & Govt. workers, all getting the corn.  Obamacare/Medicare, more corn.  Essentially, anyone who depends on our Government to live, is feeding at the corn trough.  And if you depend on the Govt. you're at their mercy.   I'm very uncomfortable with that.

No, they're the ones spreading the corn.  Call it Congress, Politburo, Gestapo, those are the folks that throw the corn, and eventually will make their demands.  Think of it as being a child, dependent on your parents.  You live in their home, they provide for you, you're dependent on them, and they make the rules..  And, you follow them, or else (at least that's the way it was in my home).  That's a simplified version how Socialism/Communism works.  For every dependency we have from the Govt. a little freedom is lost.

    • Been said before but you’d think with a program that WOS has had the last 4 decades, the history and traditions it has, it would have attracted a few high caliber quality coaches from strong programs.  That didn’t happen. Which leads me to believe it’s small town politics mainly with the school board that kept any from applying.  Schools like Gilmer, Southlake Carroll, Celina, Austin Westlake and others can have a new HC step in and keep the train rolling pretty much without missing a beat.
    • Actually, first time since 1936 to advance to this round.....

    • Y’all had it good for a long time… it’s pretty clear to see that it’s over. West Orange isn’t some blessed zip code that’s always going to win… y’all just had lighting in a bottle for a long time.    HH isn’t a bad coach, he’s just not as good as your last two. Very, very few are. The question is whether or not y’all can attract another HOF caliber coach to bring the program back to dominance-which isn’t guaranteed.    I think the future involves y’all mixing it up for DCs in some years, making the playoffs  most, then eventually dropping to 3A D1 and having more success down there.    No Thanksgiving practices in your future, though. At this point the chain is broken. There are no kids left who have any time under that level of coaching. I just don’t see things getting better.
    • Angleton fans are going all out in support. There is a tailgate in the early afternoon Friday at a local car dealership, followed by a send-off parade. College Station has only had 3 turnovers all season but Angleton has 26 takeaways so something has to give.
