I was wondering do they think WOS is better than all those 5 and 6A teams or just that much better than their classification?

My exact thoughts. If you read the prelude, it looks like they are saying that WOS can literally beat 8-25. Like I said on another post, Im a WOS homer, but im also a realist. No doubt were going to be scary good but us beating West Lake, Allen and North Shore???? hmm

So Newton is the 25th best team in the entire state? Lol OKAY.

I think WOS is the standard every program in SETX would aspire to be. Definitely one of the top programs in the state in their classification. Having said that no way they are a top 10 team when you include all classifications. Really doesn't matter though because they won't be playing those teams and should repeat as State Champs this year.

I think they'll make a run at state in 3A-D2. But they don't belong on the same field as any one of these teams, as well as about 500 other teams in class 5A and 6A.

well, they did say they used 7 on 7 as one of the criteria.

Neither does Newton if im not mistaken.

 

As for WOS Im sure they took that Elite Team as part of the equation lol

Instead of hating on WOS and Newton you should be excited that a couple of SETX schools made the state list that is awesome regardless if it'd a legit ranking or not. I will say this eagleswoodville#1 Newton would wipe the field with your team been doing it for years just saying. Anyway the ranking means nothing but I think it's cool that little on Newton made the Top 25 in the state that's exciting that they have that much respect for Newton that shows that all these games newton has won over the past 5 decades is starting to pay off state wide

The fact is Newton has beat a top 10 team on this list  2 seasons ago, not sure how many 3a teams can say that. It's all in fun, an whoever made the list probably likes soccer more than football anyhow, you know!

I for one wasn't hating on anyone just don't think think either of those local teams are better than a lot of the teams in higher classifications that this has them ranked above.  They are defininitely worthy of a high ranking in their own class.
