Guess we are now paying middle eastern countries ransom for hostages . They didn't bother to tell the American taxpayer about it and wouldn't have if they didn't get caught gotta love this crooked bunch!

I saw this.  Supposedly to pay for a failed arms deal in 1979.  Imo, it was twofold.  One, it was ransom, and two, more payoff to Iran for whatever reason.

The cash flown to Iran was euros, Swiss francs, and other currencies because U.S. law forbids transacting American dollars with Iran.

I can't even imagine the media outrage this would have sparked had it been the Bush administration. Calls for impeachment would be the headlines on every outlet.

If we had had this leadership (and I use that term loosely) in 1941, we would have lost WWII big time. We would have fallen as quickly as Poland.
