Um we were 6A (old 5A) and I highly doubt that matchup was even thought of, maybe in your own little bubble, please dont start that convo up again, I think Foster silenced that convo up already. I wont go further into that past.

I am not afraid of those schools nearly as much as I am of those Tigers. You must not be reading the post on here about how great the Tigers are. If the Mustangs can keep it a close game, that will surprise everyone in the state. It will be an honor to just "Meet Em".

I thought the "oh woe as me" play was an HJ thing. Not a good look for a Mustang.

The way Silsbee dominated basketball, WOS does in football. When someone beats them it is an event and in sure the town would celebrate for days. I think it will be very very difficult for Silsbee to beat WOS with the amount of returning starters they have coming back. I do think it will be a close game and if Silsbee could force a few turnovers and get some stops, they will be in it in the 4th. I'm really looking forward to our new offense and new defense. I have always like when schools put their best athletes on defense. That seems to be what WOS does and it works.

A lot of attention is being placed on a game that has, aside from bragging rights, little bearing on either school's season.  A win by either school won't guarantee a state championship...a loss will not cost either school an opportunity.  It is an important game as it will provide a barometer for both Coach Smith and Coach Thompson going toward district and, hopefully, beyond as it will give them an idea on what areas, if any, still need work.

Add in Shadow Creek for Silsbee and Kennedale for WOS.

Shadow Creek is to Silsbee as KIPP Northeast in to WO-S.....simply an opportunity to play a 10th game this season.

Until we get several games under our belt and see how we react, all teams will be a barometer for us. I like what I see from the team. It may take is until district before we start getting comfortable with this new system. I believe that when we do get comfortable and confident we have the players to do good things.
