Well GCM just lost first set to Kingwood Park JV, so I don't feel the pain as bad! If Kingwood Park JV is this dang good, their Varsity must be lights out!

Kingwood Park has been really solid for the past 4-5 years. I'm not shocked at all. The thing is once you start playing teams toward Houston and west of Houston the competition level is a lot higher.

GCM came back and won the second set. About to start 3rd set to 15.

GCM won in 3. Kingwood Park has a lot of talent coming up. Only two Jr on JV team.

PNG defeats Shadow Creek in 3 and GCM in 3.

GCM beat Shadow Creek in 2

-and KP JV in 3

then lost to PNG in 3 to win Pool C

PNG finished 2nd by defeating Shadowcreek in 3, GCM in 3 and losing to KP JV in 2.

Shadow Creek came in 3rd with win over KP JV in 2, loss to PNG in 3 and loss to GCM in 2.

KP JV came in 4th with a win over PNG in 2, loss to GCM in 3 and a loss to Shadow Creek in 2.

Kingwood Park beat PNG in 2 (26-24, 25-18) very competitive and fun match between the two teams.

PNG then won against CE King in 2 and Crosby in 2.

Kingwood Park went on to win against GCM in 2 and then Huffman in 2 to win the tournament.

I believe the official results were:

2. Huffman

3. GCM

4. Caney Creek

5. PNG

6. Crosby

7. CE King

8. Huffman JV

i do not know the results of the silver bracket.

Local teams I know in silver were:

Ozen, Orangefield, LCM, KP JV, Shadowcreek. I'm not sure of the other three teams.

KP JV won the silver beating Orangefield in the finals 2-0. Shadow Creek got 3rd I believe over Baytown Lee.

Neat little fact. The head coach at Kingwood Park was the head coach at Huffman last year. And the head coach of Huffman this year was at Kingwood Park last year
