WO-S 89 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 WO-S is depending to much on B. Scott to score. She best get some major help in the 2nd half are it's going to be a long bus ride back if not to late already.
KFDM COOP Posted February 24, 2007 Author Report Posted February 24, 2007 74-42 Crockett wins. Congrats Stangs on a great season.
WOS95 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 congrats lady mustangs on a great season.
Gabe Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 Same thing as I said for OF, congrats on a terrific season and dont hang your heads. Just making it back to back years to the regional tournament is unbelieveable. Crockett was a great team and hit so many "and ones" it was unheard of. You girls were awesome to cover and I will miss going to the games.
KFDM COOP Posted February 24, 2007 Author Report Posted February 24, 2007 Crockett rolls past Lady MustangsGabe PruettThe Orange LeaderHUNTSVILLE — In the night cap, District 20-3A's Crockett made sure the district would sweep District 21-3A out of the regionaltournament. The Lady Bulldogs dispensed of the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs to move on to face district-rival Diboll in the Class 3A Regional Final at 1 p.m. Saturday.Crockett defeated WO-S 74-42 to take the Class 3A regional semi-final.As special as Brittney Scott was on Friday, her and the rest of the Lady Mustangs could not stop the Lady Bulldogs.Crockett played almost flawless basketball in the first half with just four turnovers and completed three-three point plays and also hitting two three-pointers.Scott finished her spectacular WO-S career with 24 points including five three-pointers.Equally impressive was Crockett's Courtney Taylor who finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Red Sox Nation Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I am wondering if the refs let them play this game. Where can I get stats on number of free throws and number of fouls called?
20FAN07 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 good job stangs on a great season. Yall have alot to remeber in yalls basketball years to you seniors. But to the game, i thought that crockett had a great ball culb. I do believe though that we could of beat them though, but they just flat out out hustled us tonight. The WOS girls just looked out of sync, maybe it was the pressure but idk. And anyone else that went to the game, what did yall think of #13. She was a great player for sure, but there were some times where i thought she should have been called for over the back, kinda like 3 or 4 times. But great season Lady Stangs!!!
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 looks like Crockett gonna take it in Austin huh?
stang4life Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 From watching both teams play, I was not at all surprised that Crockett beat Diboll. They hustled, hit their freethrows and #13 isn't a joke. She's high-energy...spastic almost. She was everywhere and had a really pretty shot.To the Lady 'Stangs...great season. B.Scott: can't wait too drive to UH to see you play next year. You are such an awesome, all-around person/player. Janae: if the opposing team had any idea what you played through and sacrificed to play...who cares. You showed your character and desire to remain a part of the team. Good luck with the eye. Congrats to all of the other Mustang players. Keep your heads up and have no regrets. See some of you in track!!!
Preacherskid Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Anyone who has not seen Courtney Taylor from Crockett play..............She is a PLAYER. Know her dad and mom....dad is a coach and mom is in administration of some sort. They r good people. Can't remember where they said she is going, but wherever it is........they r getting the real deal, plus she excells (sp?) academically also.
Cat22 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 The article above says she is going to the University of Houston.
stang4life Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Yep, University of Houston. They are getting two quality players, especially Brittney Scott!!! (I guess I am kinda biased!!!)It will be exciting to see the Lady Coogs play ball this year!!!
Gabe Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Remember UH will play North Texas next year in HoustonJames vs. Scott. That will be something to see
