If Hillary Wins, Texas Secedes?

Couldn't clear that, sorry.

I just dont don't see the scenario you talk about happening.  As I said before, the biggest talk about secession comes from the middle age and older white male.  That's also the wealthiest segment of our population.  So while they talk a big game, any movement that might mess with their money is going to fall flat, and your scenario would definitely run the risk of hurting them financially.  Rebellions are only effective when a whole people (or at least a big majority) can unite against some sort of oppression.  And like I said before, things just aren't that bad.  If we could do it legally, then I could see it happening.  Since we can't, I don't see anywhere near the problems to create the type of motivation for Texans to do what they'd have to do, and risk what they'd have to risk, for it to be successful.

Only if the military is willing to fight against it's own people. I don't know if they will. Many in the military will be in favor of secession. Many will not care and would refuse to participate in the killing of fellow Americans. It's hard to tell. If the military goes full bore with the U.S., then yes, a militia victory will never happen. If it does not and stays out of the fight, I think secession will be successful. Currently I don't think there is near enough will from the people to secede, but the movement is slowly (much too slowly) growing.

If the majority of Texans (and other Constitutional Patriots) decided to quit paying taxes, how would the government respond? Would the President send in the military to round up millions of people? Would the military comply? If the Constitutional Patriots banded together and decided not to buy goods from any company not in favor of secession, how would the government respond? If enough people joined the movement, I don't think the government and military could stop it. But this takes extreme commitment from the people, and I don't think the compassion is there yet.

I agree.  Until recently, I'd only thought of Texas seceding.  Some recent reading has convinced me Oklahoma would for sure.  Probably, Montana, and Wyoming.  Maybe, Utah and the Dakotas.   Not sure if that would help or hurt.  Would Texas alone have a better chance of doing it and avoiding conflict?  Don't know.  If it meant conflict, as PN-G Bamatex pointed out (welcome back btw) in our last thread (the best post I've ever seen on how/why it could be done), one out of nine in the US military is from Tx.  I'd think at min, 90% of them would come back for Texas.  IMO, since the US currently doesn't have the stomach for fighting our enemies, it's hard to believe they'd attack Texas.  Also, with Texas out, the Dems win every election easily.  On the other hand, many resent us, for our States success, which makes it iffy.

As Baddog pointed out, regardless of armed conflict, those retired on Medicare & SS, would suffer initially, but I for one, am willing to do that for my children and grandchildren (should still get SS, since many elderly live outside the US and still receive it).  Do I think we will?  No, because currently, not enough are willing to sacrifice at all.  By the time they are, it'll probably be to late.  Now days, Valley Forge would be a lonely place.   Should we?   No doubt in my mind.  Anyone that doubts the US is becoming a Socialist/Globalist country, is not paying attention to our current Government.  And anyone that doubts that Socialism is a form of slavery, hasn't thought it through.  It d-mn sure isn't freedom.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see how many $ Texas?texans puts into the Federal coffers and compare it to how many $ it/they receive?

As I remember from our last discussion, Texas is losing 17% per year to the Feds.  And the older white males, most of which are not wealthy (hard to accumulate much when you keep hitting Boardwalk), have been in the military.  We may not be able to charge up San Juan Hill, but we know about fields of fire & camouflage, and you wouldn't believe what they taught us about VC booby traps (ingenious bunch of dudes).

I think we are on the same page regarding the current status of secession. Right now it is just talk. Secession will happen only if we get more membership than we currently have. I feel this country is moving more and more socialist and see no corrective course in sight. And the resentment is growing. How long it will take before enough people are fed up and willing to fight for secession is anybody's guess...if ever. I'm already there. More people are continually reaching that point. But we still have a long way to go.

We can now change this title to "Whoever wins, Texas Secedes?" After the stupid crap spewing out of Trump's mouth in his speech today, it should be evident that (anyone with two functioning brain cells already knows this) Trump is just another New York Liberal. He will say whatever he thinks will win him votes. He is another lying Liberal. I will still vote against Hillary by casting my vote for him, but he is just another pathetic Liberal that is proof positive that secession is necessary. Thanks Trump sheeple, you may have chosen the right candidate to hasten the destruction of a united America. I was holding on to the slim hope that I was wrong about Trump, but that hopeful glimmer has been dashed. Should I vote for a POS unconvicted elitist Socialist Liberal or a POS New York Liberal. I think I will vote for secession!
