eagleswoodville#1 Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 We all know highschool football is king on Texas. From top notch performance to the biggest stadiums and fan bases in the nation, nothing even compares. When it comes to our Southeast Texas coverage area, who has the best "Friday Night Lights" atmosphere? My vote is for PNG, but I'm sure there are some differing opinions. Quote

easttexiasbias Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 PNG and I don't think its even close. Back in the day Hamshire Fannett was a neat place to go for a game when it was full in the 90's for a small school. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 My favorite is Friday night at Kirby Memorial Stadium when the Jasper Bulldogs came to town to take on my Silsbee Tigers. Those were the days. Now a days, give me a small town game any day over the big boys. no-look and camsdad 2 Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 Memorial Stadium in P.A. when its Memorial vs La Porte. Kirbyville vs East Chambers at any of the two stadiums, to include the screaming lady. liltex and The Icon 2 Quote

I was at the Katy vs Southlake game years ago... Something to behold! Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

BADSANTA Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 My favorite were Silsbee playing a game at the old Kirby Memorial stadium. I also liked when we use to travel to Huntsville or College Station. We had early release and my grandmother use to drive the bus. Quote

Clueless Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 I like to watch the confident teams play like LaMarque. They use to come out of thier blowup and start walking talking trash. It would pump me up and I was a fan rooting for the other team. LaPorte use to run out to mid field and start barking at the opposing team. I even liked when Central had big girl dance at halftime against PNG and she jumped up and did a split at about 400 lbs. Impressive. #atmospherelivesmatter, #herewegoagain Lol BMTSoulja1, Mr. Buddy Garrity and BADSANTA 3 Quote

GenerationX Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 I got to see Navasota vs. Carthage last year in the playoffs & was blown away by "atmosphere". But for the area, I'd say PNG or BH & Crosby Quote
kicker Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 I have a feeling Big Ned vs WOS will be one of the most packed games of the season. We also have the capacity to hold the crowd. Biggest "4A" stadium in the area hands down.... Quote
