wo-s could care less who they play  because it will not happen 6a and 5 a teams shy away and yes the kids from wo-s did play a 5a school and lost both times  that's life all in the past who cares

I don't care and I wish you guys an injury free season, and hope to see you again playing for the state championship. I was just replying to a post that said he thought you would be ranked in top 10, two divisions above you. I was just wondering where he would put them as their are some strong teams also at that level. Again, good luck!

42 - 21 WOS. If anyone knows how to play the 'Stangs, it's Dwayne Dubois. I think BC will keep it a little closer than everyone thinks they will. Slot-T gives WOS fits because it nullifies a little speed on defense but BC's defense won't be able to control Jack Dallas and co. I liken it to Vidor's scrimmage with the Ponies. Still, just a bump in the road to state.

WOS is bringing back 16 or so starters as defending state champions. Anybody that doesn't favor them in this matchup is delirious. They SHOULD win this game. nobody is kidding themselves about how special the Mustangs are this year.

Bruce Lee once said that he wasn't scared of a man that knew 10,000 different kicks.... He was scared of a man that knew one kick, but had practiced it 10,000 times. We're going to run on WOS.  Believe that. BC wins this one in a dogfight.

Run on the Stangs, yes. Run effectively, no. History does not hold well for BC to win.

The Cardinals may base their game plan on running the ball up the middle like Dubois did at HJ, one factor that may stop this plan is the difference in the running backs. I can’t remember that kids name who ran the ball well for HJ, and was able to get long yardage up the middle a couple of years ago, he was very athletic, big and strong. Unless BC has a couple of backs like that, even running the ball up the middle will be a tall task over and over.  I believe the Stangs will shut down the middle and force the Cardinals to open the field where they (the Stangs) will have the advantage.

Yep, I can live with that. But 10 is Angleton and that would be a tough game for you guys. Not knocking WOS at all. Most definetly a legit title contender but not sure they would be top 10 in 5A. Some really good programs also with tradition in 5A.

Oh I'm not from WOS, I just became a big fan of them after seeing their head coach interviewed after the state champ game last year

Kennadale runs the slot T

And !! Doesn't matter. They have great athletes too. But when ur one dimensional makes it dat much harder. If u ever knew the history of w.o. ND I do mean years of pride on stopping the run. U want beat them that way. Once again if you truly watch what the d-line does against teams then u would know where I come from. Momo and Mandel king is on another level . Right now it's all abt BC . Kennedale will get there chance in a few weeks.

West Orange-Stark  49  Bridge City 7.  I will go out on a limb and give the Cardinals one score.  I do believe Bridge City will go on and have a great season. But they have not seen anything like is going to be heading down highway 87 south this Friday night since who flung the chunk.  Seriously.

Agree!

It would behoove the Cardinals not to count on running on the Mustang defense as if this will be their opening to get points, smh. The Cardinals have a fantastic coach and if the young Dubois was able to play I might agree that the Cardinals would score. Young Dubois is a hell of a QB.  I would like to know more about the Cardinals backfield, I might be missing something.

A WOS fan was the one who brought up the old days giving us credit from middle school a couple weeks back. Saying we were gonna be there biggest test tis season. Just a repeat of what was said. that was the last time these classes met. The past varsity scores have nothing to do with this year. Just be ready come friday

lol. Really just come ready. When have WOS not come ready. Dude its one thing to believe in your team, but another thing to think that WOS wont be prepared. I have seen good teams and Great teams and WOS definitely falls into the GREAT category this year. I thought we were great last year (and we were), but this year we are really better than last. BC is no slouch I understand that but to think you are going to be anything more than pebble on the road  well my friend your in for a rude awakening come Friday night. LCM had 2 not 1 but 2 stud running backs and look where that got them a mear 4 first downs. I commend your school spirit but to tell us to be READY? SMH.

WOS 35+

Look everybody knows what Duboise (sp) has done in BC has been remarkable but to think that this games is going to be close is crazy. WOS has yet play 4 quarters of football with it starters and honestly hasn't even really been challenged yet. Do I think BC will make some plays and even score, yes I do but the outcome is  going to be all about the same.

WOS - 42

BC - 10

When has he showed he knows how to attack us? When has the Slot-T given us fits? We saw it, what, 7 times last year? I see it quite opposite!

i guess BC has reason to be optimistic, just not this game here. Just dont have the athletes to match up. WO-S is also disciplined and experienced in addition to being talented. If you don't check off those 3 boxes, no chance to beat them no matter how much hope or heart you have. i believe its as simple as that.

    • naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.   "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"  and then crying on every little touch of someone.    lets ball out today ktz!
    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
