Who knows, he may save Png's arse on the defensive side of the ball in one of these key district games.

I agree with you Bg 100%,when we scrimmaged wos km went in on 3rd downs only, they were double teaming his big arse, and he still was busting things up,one downs not going to cut it,turn him loose some where on def,and i really think it could be the game changer, jmo.

I don't think this game will be close but I do think Lumberton will show us where our defense is at a little more. WE haven't really been tested on defense but from what ive seen we do need to shore it up a bit. Cant wait for Friday night Ltrain gonna get derailed again on new turf!!

I agree, but i do think we will bring a tough def friday, and were going to break that pretty new turf right in,with a very good off, they won't be able to match us on off so png will be too much, i say 35-14 Png

I don't see it being a blow out, between Upshaw and Ward running the ball, we will control the clock and keep our D off the field as much as possible. And I've seen a few PNG people say their pass Defense is a little weak, so I'm sure Babin will test that as well.. Something I have been most please with this year is our passing, we've been fairly successful so far this year between scrimmages and games (for a Lumberton fan that's pretty exciting lol)

We should be fine up front containing the qb and rb, just can't let someone beat us deep!

Thanks for the history lesson.

The "decent d" reference was because we have 9 returning starters, so basically the same defense that put a stop to Vidor's infamous run game last year, and we did the same thing that yall did to Calvin Tyler last year, except he played with a dual threat qb that was actually utilized. Everyone on this site knows that the play calling from Silsbee was horrible that night, if they would have let Jones run/throw more it may have been a much closer game.

Now, you are 100% correct that we do not have Calvin Tyler running out of the back field. But when he puts 180 yards on yall with a line that has been labeled as "soft" by many people, then ill take our chances with a very physical offensive line... Or can I say that since we haven't played a game yet?

I've seen both teams scrimmage, and ive been both teams against a very weak opponent. Do I believe that we can win? Certainly. Will it happen? Nobody knows till Friday night.

Same argument Vidor makes almost every year,  smh.  All returning starters are not created equal.  Returning starters from a "D" that gave up 42 pts vs PNG and 51 vs  Nederland isn't the same as returning starters that held them down under 25 or less.

O.K. SO here it is, on the REAL......

Lumberton is exactly that...... Lumberton.

I understand every blind squirrel finds a nut, eventually.....

But, I have never, and I repeat, never seen a Lumberton team that dazzled me with greatness...

Even the once in a lifetime team had a district loss... Yep, that would be PNG.......

Neither team has been tested... I somewhat agree....

Year in year out the Train riders get on here and talk about football this or that....

Usually a bunch of blah, blah, blah....

I will give this game prediction.....

Its a win win for me.... If Chumperton wins, BF will have to get to packing........

But, we all know, Chumperton never wins this game............

And if Chumperton does win, I WILL NOT MAKE A NEGATIVE POST ABOUT THEM FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.............................

Everyone knows this................

I do not litter, but when I do, its in Lumberton......................

PN-G wins this game........... Some things never change...........

Chumperton treats it like a rivalry, simply because they cant find a rival....

Secret intel.... You have to win about 50% to make it a rivalry!!!!!!!!!!!

B.F. For President 2020.........................

P.S. If you have any athletes, send them our way!!!

Tell the Coach.........

STATTRAX KNOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
