The silver lining is that maybe ppl will quit giving us mess bc pollsters want to rank us and we can just enjoy a good ole dog fight for the district championship.

First of all Congrats to the Porter Spartans and Coach Holley who came to play tonight.  Hall to Carney will be seeing that for weeks, had no answer for that combo don't think we stopped them once.  Porter served notice tonight that a playoff spot in 21-5A just got significantly more difficult to grab.  Looks like it's going to be a fun year.   Go Coogs!!!!!

Ummm I didn't make excuse about our lost to Splendora. If you had read the thread I was concerned about our ability to stop Splendora's run game before kickoff. If your speaking for all the Crosby posters on this thread you might want to read them again, some do give respect to Porter while also including that Crosby was without players etc. JS

This sounds like and excuse.  In your words a loss is a loss.  So a serious question for Cougar14.2: Do you go after ex-Navasota coach Lee Fedora if Crosby misses the playoffs this year, I'm sure Crosby could pay what it takes........

Woke up, and yep Crosby lost. Nobody can comment though unless you were part of a team that actually loss to Porter or atleast that's how 14.2 thinks. Guess what? Nobody's team in our viewing area has been part of a team that lost to Porter! Lol A little humble pie served hot. Great job Porter!

I was actually looking for a little more extensive explanation of this from the MECCA faithful.  I still can't believe that THIS is the game that was loss.  My predictions were Dayton and the Ant Mound...  Would've never thought of Porter...

Riordan has already won the region so, no. Besides, we would probably go hire Jon Kay away from North Shore. Little different not playing with an LSU commit at qb, the #3 rb in the country and some other kids. Crosby just let off field stuff play too much of a role in on field performance, Porter was ready to play and Crosby wasn't. Riordan will get his 50th win in 5 years at the program so the track record is proven. Either way, y'all still look a lot worse than us and Crosby losing just made it a heck of a lot harder for Dayton to get into the playoffs.
