The Livingston Lions continue 22-5A play tonight as they travel to Mid County to take on the Port Neches-Groves Indians.  Brian Broussard's Lions, 2-2 on the season, evened their record at 1-1 with a 32-28 win over Lumberton last Friday.  Meanwhile, the Indians, 3-0 on the season, come into this game with a 1-0 district mark after having last week off and beating Lumberton two weeks ago 34-14.

I think some people will take this score and be mistaken about how PNG handled Livingston. I still believe by switching to a more balanced and spread type offense they give themselves a better chance to compete. This game also showed the NDNS need to work more on their secondary. This might be one of the better reasons its nice to play the weaker teams first, it gives time to fix some issues before the harder games.

exactly our secondary in the second half couldn't catch a cold in the middle of winter butt naked soaking wet with a wind chill of negative 40 degrees. If he doesn't make some adjustments back there we are gonna be in a bind the next few weeks. Sloppy tackling, no idea the ball is being thrown at them down the field. I hope it was a good learning experience for them and hopefully they watch it on film and correct their mistakes, boy it hurts to watch them give up a goose egg when the game is well at hand week in week out lol.

Angelle and Jones from Memorial and the Nederland wr Connor Perkins will be able to have field days IF the ball can get their way. No speed or awareness plus bad tackling. Still is time to correct a few things like scheme, position and awareness but you can't correct natural attributes which these kids don't have. Can't teach speed, I don't care what any one says, speed is born and can be crafted to be better. You can give me the best teacher in the world, I am never running a 4.5

Offensive line work and db help. Need to think about making a change at DB... I've put the eye test on every team in the district. I promise we are in for a tooth and nails battle till the end. Nederland, Central, and PAM, Vidor.  Those will be difficult games to win playing like we are. Other than special teams, it appeared the improvement level from the Lumberton game was non existent. McZeal looked great. RJ is still learning. We need to eliminate the penalties. Bobbled snaps. We struggle with the read option. RJ made a few athletic plays on bobbles to save us. O Line looked in La La land some plays. All can be corrected, plus a move at DB... D line and linebackers played solid.

Good assessment. I concur. Our play was very flat at times last night. After Lee, any play like that will lose games.
