Just heard that the shooting victim, did, in fact, have a gun and that his blood and fingerprints were both found on the gun.

He had been arrested 14 times including spending 6 years in prison for shooting at cops.  Seems like a great guy.

Should his past matter?  One particular poster on this board seems confused about whether it does or does not.

My Gf is on Bourban Street right now.  She sent me a few videos of the protesters marching through town.  They are supposedly going to tear down the statue of Andrew Jackson because he owned slaves 200 years ago.  

I wonder if they know he is on the $20?  Maybe they should boycott those and give them all to me.

I have never complained about the past being used. some very bad things were done in the united states by your ancestors. similar to the things you complain about today or worse

Have you been reading some of those secret history books Bluedove is so found of? Can you please show me one of them. I would love to see your "real" history and how it stacks up with everything I've been taught.

The guy's past is almost meaningless legally unless the officers might have known that he is accused of having shot someone. That might tend to give them a "reasonable belief" that he might be violent. I doubt the officers knew any of that, if it is true. 

It would make for an interesting conversation on whether a good person or a bad person was killed. 

Of course the police video showing the guy getting out with the gun in his hand, not having his hands up as at least one witness claimed on a video.... makes a huge difference.

I was making a point of what you said about not talking about the past.  You said you didn't refer to last, but you do when you need to use the past to fit what you are saying.  So you actually pick and choose as well.
