I'm so proud of these girls. We are currently 13-11, which is a great season for us so far, and although district hasn't turned out the way we wanted, we really haven't been blown out. We played Buna tough, we beat Anahuac, took a set from Kirbyville, and almost took a set from Hardin at the YMBL (lost 26-24). We won third this year in the Trinity Tournament, going 5-1 during that tournament and beating teams like Trinity, Latexo, and Colmesneil. In addition to that, we took 5A Port Arthur Memorial to 4 sets this year, winning our first set against Memorial for the first time. We only have one senior on the team (who is getting a lot of interest from an NCAA Division III University), so we will be returning everyone next year. Our 7th grade team is currently undefeated and has beaten Kirbyville, Anahuac, and Warren so far this year. We have 25 8th graders that will be moving into our high school program next year, so we are looking at 55+ in the high school volleyball program next year. Things are good!
