The T-formation with the 3 backs which they didn't use last night until the 2nd half is new this year. They use it most when they want to run clock so you saw them run it a lot in the 4th quarter. I think they only used it one play in the 3rd. They did score using it last night. The announcer for Texan Live apparently didn't recognize it because he kept calling it a "modified wishbone" The I-formation that they used a lot is also new. They ran the spread for the previous 4 years and before that the wing-T for a number of years. Like the wing-T, the backs line up in a 3-point stance in the T-formation.
I think the real glory years for LaMarque were the 90's when they won 3 state championships in 3 consecutive years.
