Some posters just like to stir the pot its all in gpod fun lets  do  not forget its all about the kids we sometimes get i guess to into it but i love high school footba better than pro they try harder and all for the love of the game for free like us on this board a little smack here and there!

I guess cause pa has gotten a taste of winning in their mouth so they can't handle it, when your use to it five years straight you can act classy. Vidor is winning for the first time in a while and we are all happy for them and plan on supporting them through playoffs and they are keeping a classy act about it. It's what this district does for each other. Hard to do that for someone who thinks they own the place the first year they show up, especially when they couldn't get it done in their last district.

PAM wins the district with ease...

2nd place will be determined this week at the Rez.....

3rd place will be decided this week at the Rez.....

Nederland or Central get the last spot.....

PAM does not lose a game in district play...

No team has the athletes to compete... Way to many weapons.... They would have competed this year in their old 6A district....

If Vidor wins this week, they are a lock for the 2 seed with only 1 loss to PAM.

If PNG wins they get in the show, but Nederland has our number, and until BF actually beats them, I'll just chalk it up as a loss... Central will be a big test as well... I can see as many as 4 district losses, but I can also see only 1 loss, if we get on our A game... Which honestly, I have not seen...

everybody should take a look at Central, with losses to PAM and Vidor, everyone wrote them off... I was at the PAM/Central game... They played a decent game considering how bad Nederland played against PAM... I can see Central making the playoffs as the 3 or 4....

It all just depends on how it shakes out... But I think those 4 or the locks, PAM a lock at the 1, the other 3 fighting it out.. Vidor has the inside track to the 2 even with a loss to PNG, simply because PNG has not played meaningful games yet... If Vidor wins they lock in the 2... If PNG loses to Vidor, PAM, Nederland, they will duke it out with those 2 for the final spots... However if PNG beats Vidor, I think Vidor still has a inside trac on the 2 unless PNG wins out minus a loss to PAM.... Simply becasue LN owns BF....

it's all a bit confusing, but I still think those 4 are locks...

Best educated guess....

PAM

Vidor

PNG

Central/Nederland

if Nederland has to forfeit, it's going to be tough......

Correct me if I am wrong, but looking at the playoff picture, there could easily be a three way tie for two playoff spots with a 5-3 or a three way tie for one playoff spot with a 4-4 record. I think it is safe to say PAM is finishing 8-0. Just for the sake of the conversation, let's say Vidor edges out PNG to finish district 7-1. So here goes the first scenario-

PNG finishes the season with losses to PAM, Vidor, and Nederland, (not predicting, just imagining.) 5-3.

Nederland holds its playoff hopes together, finishing 5-3.

Livingston vs Central will be huge. If Livingston wins, they can finish out only losing to Vidor and PAM. 5-3. But if Central wins this game, oh boy here we go again.

So here we go with a 3 way tie with a 4-4 record for one playoff spot.  Again, PAM and Vidor win out and go first and second. For this scenario, say PNG beats Nederland and finishes 6-2, putting Nederland at a 4-4 record. Here is where the Livingston/Central game is big. If Central wins, they should finish 4-4 with loses to PAM, Vidor, PNG, and Nederland. A Central win here gives a loss to Livingston, (assuming the Lions beat Ozen and Lee, and lose to Vidor and PAM,) giving the Lions an even 4-4 record.

I wouldn't count Lumberton out either. They can defiantly add another loss to just about any team in the district.

I know I confused myself multiple times thinking all this through, so correct me if I am wrong. I'm not picking winners or losers, just trying to think outside the box a little bit and contribute to some conversation I guess. Either way good luck to everyone for the rest of the season, it's looking like it will be a great one!

One thing your post confirms, to me at least.  Still way to many variables.  To many IF's.  As of now, PAM, Vidor, & PNG have the inside track.

Good post btw.

It's entirely plausible for Ned to win out and end up 6-2.  The Central game is a toss-up in my eyes and MCM is always unpredictable so a win over PNG isn't out of the question either.  I wouldn't count them out by any means and I don't have ties to any of the schools.  Just an outsider looking in that know the histories.

5-3 is what I am thinking you were shooting at

Since elementary school, 4 comes before 5.  One of the posters was saying 4 is the magical number, it's not.  It has you in the discussion...

PA-M  8-0, going undefeated playing Porter

PN-G  7-1, loosing to PA-M playing Barbers Hill

Vidor  6-2, loosing to PN-G and PA-M playing Crosby

Central  5-3, loosing to Vidor, PA-M and PN-G playing New Caney

This is how i see it ending.

You also spell losing with one O...since elementary school ;)

Thanks for the correction.  I can't be perfect in everything i do in life.  My predictions are already perfect enough, :).

And if I had a dollar for every Quote Error I've made, I'd be on my way to the Casino :)

Its still early but it looks like the DIV II reps are just about decided for 21 & 22.  Vidor and PNG Vs. BH & Crosby (Assuming Dayton Doesn't get in). This would make for an interesting bi-district depending on the match ups :)

Crosby would get a chance for revenge on Vidor

Vidor would get a chance for revenge on BH

BH could get some revenge on PNG from the past

PNG could get some revenge on Crosby from the past (Cant remember, but think Crosby beat PNG in a bi-district or 2)
