How do you think we know that? He's own people leaked it so Bama would know. He and his wife can to Austin or any other city in the world with the money they have. Why leave a gig like Bama? The contract he signed was the same contract that was on his desk before he went to Red's house. You may be right, but with the timeline, you could also be very wrong UTfanatic 1 Quote

D3zii Posted October 26, 2016 Author Report Posted October 26, 2016 Really I just want us to go through the whole process and not make a quick hire just because of who we think it should be Quote
Gabe Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Would Saban have a title in the two years he would have been at Texas? I don't think so and he probably wouldn't be in the position he's in now with Bama this year to win another. Quote

No matter what Was said on College game day Texas is probably the top University in the Nation Surrounded by top athletes That want to go there and just a few years ago Texas could get anybody it wanted..So Why wouldn't they be?? Texas is the best college job in he nation there is not doubt - However, it also comes with the biggest expectations - any coach would have to look at their current job other jobs on the market and take that all that into consideration and the expectation level will be a large factor in any coaches decision. Some will take the challenge but others may pass - the longer Texas in an Average team the shorter the time will be given for those new coaches to turn it around. Texas like all schools wants to win and win now - the only difference is that Texas has a history that will hard if not impossible to get back to - but their fans expect it year in and year out. That's understandable...and very much true...If it's something that will keep ppl away it's THIS.....Nobody wants to come to a job were there is a Lesh or boosters who could have you fired.. another thing is We need a strong administration that doesn't faint at the first wave of trouble..Our administration seems to be wavering right now and it's not a good look ..they need to get it together Quote
king Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 You don't have to get a huge name to get back to the promise land. Why is Texas the best job, because they have alot of money? Quote

Imagine if aTm had not given Sumlin an extension after year 1. He probably gets fired after last season. Quote

Bama had been pretty much atrocious for a decade or so before Nick got there. As easy as he makes it look at Bama, it would arguably be even easier at Texas. Combine the best recruiting base with college athletics biggest brand, it would tough for a coach like Saban to miss . BUT that was a missed opportunity and the powers that be appear to have their sites set on Hermann. Ironically, LSU firing Les so early probably shortened Charlie's leash. D3zii 1 Quote
king Posted October 27, 2016 Report Posted October 27, 2016 Saban was 6-6 his first year at bama. The next season he lost 2 games Quote
