I would guess that, if the officer had been able to shoot the perpetrator and kill him first, before being killed himself, there would have been claims that the "poor citizen" was carrying a book and the officer was too anxious to kill someone.  All of you that support all of this protest BS better understand that the notoriety being given to those instances may very well cause an officer to lose his own life for fear of being portrayed as the bad guy in these type of incidents.  If this happens much more, there may be a bigger backlash than you can imagine in the opposite direction.  I would dearly love to hear Colin Kaepernick explain this one and also explain why he doesn't "protest" this event.

This is terrible. I guess this is how far it has to go for people like big girl when a perp has a gun. He has to discharge it into the officer before the other officer has the right to fire.
